Interview

Who are you?

My name is Tatyana Ustujina, I am 24 year old. I’m a student of the 6 course
of the Tavrida Kerch University of Economics and Humanity. I learn there 2 languages: English and German. I think that it is very important to know foreign languages. And the English language has been elected as the world language and it has been respected in the world.

How did you learn English?

I started to learn English at school since I was a child. Classes were always fun and I learned very fast.
When I recall how I improved my English, I always think I was pretty lucky, but luck is also made by the effort.
I loved English and I got high marks in it because my father was interested in studying English, so he taught me the name of many objects in English .I read some English stories and watch some programmes and movies. I try to check dictionary for the pronunciation of the words .I want to improve my English and speak as native people. Sometimes I feel shy to speak and make mistake in pronunciation.
Now I study English at the institute and it helps me a lot. I need to learn more and more and I hope to improve my English and good accent.

What has English given you?

Studying English will be able to help to a person in many different aspects of their lives. When a student studies English they will be able to learn everything they will need to know about proper grammar and develop excellent writing skills that will be able to help them with any career they end up pursuing. Being able to think on your feet is a very important skill to have in any career path. Getting a degree in English will help provide a student with excellent critical thinking skills that will help them in any career.  The ability to brainstorm while in a meeting with a client or other employees is a skill everyone needs to have.
Studying English compositions can lead to teaching the subject afterward, but it can also lead to traveling around the globe and teaching the American language to others who don’t yet know it. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone who wants to teach and who also wants to travel.

The Haunted House on Scary Street

One time on a dark and stormy Halloween night
a boy named Nick stepped in a house with no way
out of it. This whole thing happened when Nick
saw this strange house every time he walked home
from school. The thing that made Nick curious
was that it was on Scary Street which seemed odd.
Since Nick saw that house every day he always
wanted to see inside of it but the drapes of the
windows blocked everything in the house.
At school Nick always wondered what was in the house and
did not pay attention in class.

His grades were dropping so his parents
talked to him about how school was
important and wanted to find out why his
grades were so bad.
Nick explained to his parents all about
the house and how it took his mind off of
school work. However, they did not
believe him. To help his parents believe
him he went through the whole story.
This is how the story began. Nick was
walking home from school and in a split
second all kinds of clouds darkened the
sky which created a huge storm.
Nick was looking for shelter but all he saw was
the abandoned house he daydreamed about.
Since the house was all that was around he knocked on the front door and the door creaked open. Nick went inside and the floor creaked
below him. All of a sudden the door slammed
closed behind him and he heard it lock. Then, the
windows and other doors closed. Since it was
raining outside, Nick ignored the doors and
windows and went inside to explore.
When Nick went deeper into the house he
yelled, “Hello is anybody here?”, but nobody
answered.
All of a sudden a noise came from the kitchen that
sounded like a dropping of something. When Nick
got to the kitchen he saw a person with three eyes that
looked like a Zombie. Nick was paralyzed for a
moment as the monstrous person stared at him. He
started to run for the front door. Since the door was
locked and the monstrous person was coming straight
towards him, Nick yelled as loud as he could for help
but nobody outside heard him. Once he saw the
monstrous person come close to him, Nick found a
big hole in the wall.
Since the hole was not big enough to go
through he started to break the wood open to go
through. Once the hole was big enough he went
through and the big, scary person did not seem to
want to follow him outside. After that he rushed
home and never spoke of the house again. He
found a new way to get home bypassing the
house.
After hearing this story, Nick’s parents
understood why he could not concentrate in school. From this day on, Nick did better in
school. He stopped daydreaming about he house
and got serious about his school work.

How To Gain A Work-Life Balance for a perfect English language teacher.

A work life balance is essential to being a successful and happy teacher. New teachers need to establish priorities early in the year and stick to them.
Teaching is a profession that one could spend virtually hours upon hours working at every day, all day long – 365 days a year and still never be truly finished of.
It’s not actually that difficult to have a work life balance – no matter what the profession. The trick is simple: Establishing priorities.
Establishing priorities early on can help to alleviate some of the stress associated with the teaching profession.
Everyone wants to have a successful career, but realize that work isn't everything.
Set reasonable hours early on. Teachers often work, work, work because they feel they have to. They do not get paid for these extra hours, and this must be kept in mind.
Keep time with family and friends work free. Do not try to multi-task all of the time. This usually leads to annoyed friends, neglected children and spouses and frustrated teachers. Keep time for loved ones free from school work whenever possible. This may mean waiting until bedtime to correct papers, or staying after school to finish up planning. Time is at a premium, don't waste it.
If you have children at the beginning it will be difficult to divide the time between work and a family. Therefore it is necessary to operate under accurately formulated plan which will facilitate your life. And when children grow up, you will be able to involve them in your interests. Also it concerns the husband. He should be interested in your work because the general interests pull together.
Work-life balance is essentially about choice and flexibility, balancing life and work, balancing the needs of the school and members and creating the best environment for performance and job satisfaction.
